About FindHotelsAU

A Different Perspective on Australian Hospitality

Contemporary spaces, genuine service and a relaxed Gold Coast point of view.

Our Point of View

Comfort Without Complication

FindHotelsAU began with a practical question: what if a contemporary hotel could feel designed without feeling over-designed? The answer shaped an approach to hospitality that values clarity, comfort and a strong sense of place. Instead of building the guest experience around formality, the focus is on making every part of the stay feel intuitive — from the way you enter a room to where you place a suitcase, make coffee, sit by a window or ask for help.

Guest-first thinking begins with the room. Beds are generous, lighting is layered, and storage is planned around actual travel rather than visual symmetry. Bathrooms favour natural materials, useful surfaces and simple circulation. Seating has a purpose. Work areas are compact but functional. Technology supports the stay without becoming the aesthetic of the stay.

The architecture draws on Queensland light and a restrained material palette. Pale stone, warm timber, soft textiles and brushed metal create depth without visual noise. Large windows and considered transitions between indoor and outdoor areas bring daylight deeper into the building. Colours sit closer to sand, water, foliage and charcoal than to overtly themed coastal decoration.

Hospitality follows the same logic. Service should be warm, capable and easy to access, but never theatrical for its own sake. Guests may want recommendations, accessibility information, help with practical arrangements or a simple answer about where to eat. They may also want privacy. Good service understands the difference.

Food, leisure and location are treated as part of the accommodation rather than separate attractions competing for attention. Breakfast can be slow or efficient. The pool can be a destination or a short break between plans. The fitness space supports routine. Shared lounges provide somewhere comfortable to be outside the room. Broadbeach extends the experience beyond the building through beach culture, dining, shops, parks and the wider energy of the Gold Coast.

The result is an approach that feels contemporary because it removes friction rather than adding spectacle. FindHotelsAU is intended for travellers who notice design but value ease, who want a hotel to have character without demanding a particular kind of stay, and who see rest as something created through many small decisions rather than one grand gesture.

Our Story

How FindHotelsAU Took Shape

01

The Idea

A hotel built around simplicity.

The original idea behind FindHotelsAU was to create a Gold Coast hotel experience where design and service support the guest rather than dominate the visit. The approach centred on uncomplicated arrivals, calm rooms, thoughtful shared spaces and hospitality that feels confident without becoming formal. Every decision was measured against a simple test: does this make the stay easier, more comfortable or more connected to the destination?

02

The Place

Broadbeach set the tone.

Broadbeach offered the right balance of coastal openness and urban energy for the hotel. Queensland architecture, subtropical planting, bright daylight and the local rhythm of beach mornings followed by social evenings shaped the material palette and planning approach. The design language became quieter and more architectural — less themed, more connected to stone, timber, shade, water and the changing light of the coast.

03

The Experience

More reasons to stay in, more freedom to step out.

The experience expanded from rooms into dining, pool and leisure areas, a compact wellness and fitness offer, relaxed lounges and evening entertainment. These elements were never intended to compete for attention. Instead, they allow the property to change pace across the day, giving guests more choice between staying within the hotel and using it as a base for the broader Gold Coast.

04

Today

A philosophy that stays useful.

Today, the FindHotelsAU philosophy remains focused on the same essentials: considered rooms, practical comfort, genuine hospitality and a clear connection to place. The aim is not to chase novelty, but to keep refining the details that guests actually use — the feel of a room at night, the ease of a morning coffee, a helpful conversation, the quality of shared spaces and the freedom to choose your own pace.

Our Spaces

Shaped by Light, Texture and Place

The material language of FindHotelsAU begins with surfaces that feel calm in strong Australian light. Natural stone creates a cool, grounded base, while warm timber adds depth without making the interiors heavy. Soft textiles sit between the two, bringing comfort to beds, lounge seating and acoustic surfaces.

Daylight is treated as an architectural material in its own right. Large windows, shaded edges and restrained colours help rooms remain bright without feeling exposed. The palette stays close to warm white, sand, weathered stone, ocean blue and charcoal, allowing the changing light across the day to create most of the variation.

Function matters as much as appearance. Room layouts are planned around movement, luggage, storage, sitting and resting. Bathrooms are intended to feel generous without wasting space. Shared areas offer different levels of privacy, from social dining zones to quieter corners where a guest can read or work.

The connection between indoors and outdoors is kept visible wherever possible through framed views, terraces, planting and materials that feel appropriate to the subtropical coast. The goal is not to imitate the beach inside the hotel, but to let the building belong naturally to Queensland.

Our Approach

Four Principles, Used Every Day

01

Easy Comfort

Comfort is most useful when it feels obvious rather than engineered. We focus on the things guests use repeatedly: a supportive bed, intuitive lighting, convenient power, practical storage, comfortable seating and a bathroom that works without explanation. The result is a room that settles around you quickly, whether you are staying for one night or several.

02

Thoughtful Design

Design at FindHotelsAU is restrained, tactile and functional. Natural stone, timber, fabric and metal are chosen for how they age, feel and respond to the Queensland climate. Visual impact matters, but it is balanced with acoustic comfort, circulation, durability and the everyday realities of travel.

03

Genuine Hospitality

Service should feel human, capable and appropriately paced. That means useful answers, clear information and assistance without excessive ceremony. Guests can engage as much or as little as they like, knowing support is available for rooms, facilities, accessibility questions and local planning when needed.

04

Connected to the Coast

The Gold Coast is not treated as a backdrop. Its light, climate, architecture and lifestyle influence the building, while Broadbeach remains an active part of the stay. Guests can move easily between hotel spaces and the wider precinct, creating a visit that feels specific to Queensland rather than interchangeable with another city.

One Property, Different Experiences

Choose Your Own Pace

Some stays are built around plans. Others work best when plans remain optional. FindHotelsAU is intended to support both. You can spend a quiet morning in the room, use the pool through the middle of the day, fit in a workout, meet someone for dinner or head out to explore Broadbeach and the wider Gold Coast.

The building is organised so those experiences can overlap without competing. Social areas have energy, but the rooms stay calm. Dining can be a destination or simply convenient. Leisure spaces are available without requiring the entire day to revolve around them. The hotel works as a base, a pause and a place to stay in.

Evening entertainment adds another optional layer for adult guests. Casino gaming facilities form one adults-only component of the hotel's broader entertainment offering and are restricted to guests aged 18 years and over.

What matters most is choice. A good hotel should make different versions of the same trip possible, depending on what you need that day.
