Our Point of View
Comfort Without Complication
FindHotelsAU began with a practical question: what if a contemporary hotel could feel designed without
feeling over-designed? The answer shaped an approach to hospitality that values clarity, comfort and a
strong sense of place. Instead of building the guest experience around formality, the focus is on making
every part of the stay feel intuitive — from the way you enter a room to where you place a suitcase, make
coffee, sit by a window or ask for help.
Guest-first thinking begins with the room. Beds are generous, lighting is layered, and storage is planned
around actual travel rather than visual symmetry. Bathrooms favour natural materials, useful surfaces and
simple circulation. Seating has a purpose. Work areas are compact but functional. Technology supports the
stay without becoming the aesthetic of the stay.
The architecture draws on Queensland light and a restrained material palette. Pale stone, warm timber, soft
textiles and brushed metal create depth without visual noise. Large windows and considered transitions
between indoor and outdoor areas bring daylight deeper into the building. Colours sit closer to sand, water,
foliage and charcoal than to overtly themed coastal decoration.
Hospitality follows the same logic. Service should be warm, capable and easy to access, but never
theatrical for its own sake. Guests may want recommendations, accessibility information, help with practical
arrangements or a simple answer about where to eat. They may also want privacy. Good service understands the
difference.
Food, leisure and location are treated as part of the accommodation rather than separate attractions
competing for attention. Breakfast can be slow or efficient. The pool can be a destination or a short break
between plans. The fitness space supports routine. Shared lounges provide somewhere comfortable to be
outside the room. Broadbeach extends the experience beyond the building through beach culture, dining,
shops, parks and the wider energy of the Gold Coast.
The result is an approach that feels contemporary because it removes friction rather than adding spectacle.
FindHotelsAU is intended for travellers who notice design but value ease, who want a hotel to have character
without demanding a particular kind of stay, and who see rest as something created through many small
decisions rather than one grand gesture.
